Through service, students learn the importance of justice, compassion, and responsibility while discovering their own capacity to lead and make a difference.

How Service Works

Campus Ministry provides a variety of opportunities throughout the year, but students are also encouraged to seek out meaningful projects on their own. Service opportunities are regularly promoted on the NDCL website, NDCL Live (morning announcements), and in Theology classes.

Students use the MobileServe app to log, track, and verify their service. Each submission must include:

  • A supervisor’s signature and email verification
  • Correct supervisor contact information (remind them the email will come from “Team MobileServe”)

Service Hour Requirements

  • 20 hours minimum each year (within the approved categories)
  • 80 Hours Required to Graduate
  • 160 Hours earns the Heart of A Lion Service Cord at Graduation

Students are encouraged to explore a variety of service experiences, including those that take them beyond their comfort zones. When logging hours, they should choose the most accurate category from the MobileServe drop-down menu.
